K-Pop In Your Area ("we," "us," "the site") is a free directory of K-pop concerts and fan events. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site.
Information we collect
Email address. If you sign up for our weekly events email or submit an event, we collect the email address and form details you provide. Form submissions are processed and stored by our hosting provider, Netlify, through Netlify Forms.
Usage analytics. We use privacy-focused analytics to understand which pages and events are popular. This captures aggregate, non-identifying data such as page views, referring sites, and general location at the country or region level. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites.
Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the site.
How we use it
We use your email to send the events digest you asked for and to respond to event submissions. We use analytics and logs to operate, improve, and secure the site. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it except with the service providers that help us run the site (below) or where required by law.
Affiliate links
Some outbound ticket links are affiliate links. If you buy a ticket after clicking one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. To measure this, the ticketing partner (for example Ticketmaster, Vivid Seats, or TickPick) may set a cookie or record a click through their affiliate platform. Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policies. Using an affiliate link is always optional.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of third parties to operate: Netlify (hosting, forms, and security), our analytics provider, and the affiliate networks named above. Each processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us. You may request that we delete the personal information we hold about you (primarily your email address) by emailing us. Because we collect so little, honoring these requests is usually quick.
Children
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here.
